In Honor of Randy Arledge's Exoneration
Why I'm Biking for the Innocence Project
The Innocence Project provides pro-bono post-conviction legal assistance to prisoners that are seeking to prove their innocence with DNA testing and works to enact the reforms needed to protect innocent Americans from wrongful prosecution and incarceration. To date, more than 300 people have been freed by DNA testing, including eighteen who served time on death row. To learn more, please visit www.innocenceproject.org.
About the TD Five Boro Bike Tour
Held annually the first Sunday in May, the TD Five Boro Bike Tour is America’s largest cycling event - a 40 mile, car-free ride for 32,000 cyclists. Starting just north of Battery Park, the tour runs up Manhattan, through Central Park, around a brief loop in the Bronx and down to the Queensboro Bridge passing countless New York City icons on the way. After a ride over the Pulaski bridge passing through Brooklyn, riders enjoy an incredible view from the lower deck of the Verrazano Bridge. The tour ends on Staten Island with an outdoor Festival.
